Oldham Reaction

After such an emphatic comeback, there was the expected contrary views of the game from both camps! For the home side, Oldham's manager, Brian Talbot said that "There are just 15 games gone and we are already in a relegation battle. I honestly didn't think they would score until we gave them a goal. it lifted them and they got on top. It is another bad result but we will presevere. To say I am disappointed is an understatement, particularly after we had played so well in the first half".

The view from the Bournemouth camp was more up beat with Sean O'Driscoll saying that: "We knew it was not always going to be an upward climb because there are bound to be dips along the way. But I was pleased we again reacted well after going behind. We changed our system for this game, but we are flexible and after going back to our usual formation after 20 minutes we looked more comfortable. We are top scorers in the division so I always felt we had a chance despite getting off to a bad start".

Speaking on BBCi, O'Driscoll added: "But we're extremely flexible - people like Wade Elliott have played out of position but done fantastic jobs. Once we got into the game, I thought we might get an equaliser - if we got it, I thought we could go on and win. John Spicer has got a great engine and the longer the game goes on, you know he's going to get in behind the back four - he created it, but James has been on the spot for us all season".
