The Oldham Athletic manager, Ronnie Moore, is quoted on their
Offical Web Site as saying: "
It was a poor first half, but you are going to get that. You can't be brilliant all the time and we haven't since the start of the season. We weren't good in the first half and I don't blame the fans for having a pop. I said at half-time it looked like a 0-0 but I thought the game was there to be won and I asked the lads if they wanted to win it. In the second half at least they came out and had a go, I don't think anybody can complain that we didn't have enough chances".
He concludes that: "
Overall, we weren't brilliant but it it was a hard-fought, hard-earned victory".
