One Bid, One Bid Out, In Out Then Shake It All About!

Just when it looked as if one bid had been accepted by Gerald Krasner, the Joint Administrator, the 'successful' bid (headed by Mostyn and Sly) is rejected in favour of the rival bid, headed by Marc Jackson.

A statement from the Joint Administrator, on the Clubs Official Web Site reads: "At 2pm today Mr Mostyn was the preferred bidder by a small margin. At quarter past three we [Begbies Traynor] sent out a press release to confirm the preferred bidder. Within the hour and following further conversations it became obvious that the bid could not be completed. The Mr Mostyn bid therefore lapsed and Mr Jackon's consortium is now the preferred bid. Mr Jackson has until the close of play on Monday to lodge the money into a bank account. There will be no further announcements until all the legal documentation has been completed".

You couldn't make this up if you tried!
