Owls Reaction

Speaking to BBC Radio Solent, Karl Broadhurst said that the Bournemouth side showed "great character" and "bounce-back-ability" (he's been watching Soccer AM on Sky Sports!) to describe the victory against Sheffield Wednesday.

Gaining 3 points was a "magnificent acheievment" as they knew that Wednesday were going to use a long ball game, meaning that they had to pick up the second ball.

Speaking of John Spicer, Karl described Spicer as "adding class to the side" and are looking forward to Blackburn Rovers as "there's every chance we can get a result" on Wednesday evening.

The reaction from the Hillsborough camp could not have more dramtic - the Owls board sacked Chris Turner!! The Owls Chairman is quoted on BBCi saying that: "It's unfortunate, but I'm afraid we're parting company with Chris Turner. He knew that we had to do well over this game and the next game at Wrexham. The pressure was on but neither the team nor Chris delivered".
