Having made a big impression towards the end of the season, Rhoys Wiggins has been offered a new deal to remain at Selhurst Park.

Speaking in the South London Press, Palace assistant boss, Mick Jones, is quoted as saying: "Rhoys is a talented young man and if he comes back to us and proves in pre-season he can steer clear of injuries then the door is wide open. But, alternatively, he is also within the confines of compensation and it is not in the club's interest to just give a player a free transfer when they have got a value".
