Cherries duo, Joe Partington and Mitchell Nelson, have both been sent out on loan to Conference side Eastbourne Borough for a month, having been restricted to first team opportunities at Dean Court.

Both made their debut against Grimsby Town at Blundell Park, where ex-Cherry Alan Connell scored a 78th minute equaliser to secure a 2-2 draw.

On the move, Shwan Jalal is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "It will be a fantastic grounding for them. I think I was 18 or 19 when I went out on loan to Woking from Spurs. The goalkeeping coach at the time said it would be the best thing you ever did. It’s fantastic that Parts and Mitch have gone out to Eastbourne because it will keep them match fit. There’s nothing like playing for three points every Saturday and knowing they’re playing alongside players where this is their livelihood and results mean whether they get a contract next season or not. It did me the world of good and I made some great friends at Woking. It puts them in the spotlight and helps show what they can do because they are going up to Grimsby for their first game and it will be a tough test. I think Parts and Mitch will benefit from playing in the Conference because it’s a tough league".
