Patience Required - Pugh

With the season just a few days old, winger Marc Pugh is calling for patience as the Club tries to rebuild following recent player departures and a comprehensive 3-0 defeat at the weekend.

Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Pugh is quoted as saying: "You want to start the season on a high and get the confidence up. It was a disappointing result at Charlton but we have got to dust ourselves down and move on quickly. We showed what a good team we can be when we beat Cardiff and Crystal Palace in pre-season. We have just got to show belief and togetherness because we know it will take us a long way. We created a lot more chances in the second half against Charlton and it was almost a mirror of last season’s game, albeit we lost 3-0 on Saturday instead of 1-0. We hope our supporters will be patient with us but also know their patience can run out. We lost our first two games last season and they stuck by us to help us through. If you lose four or five games, you are always looking up the table and it can be a long way back. You have got to start well so you are looking down the table. We have got the players to do well and there is a good staff behind the squad. We have got to produce on the pitch and put on a show for the supporters who pay their money to watch us. We have made a lot of changes and lost a lot of big players. But we have brought in some good players and there is no reason why we can’t go on an unbeaten run".
