Pearce Deal Not Finalised

Even though it was widely reported that Jason Pearce had signed a contract extension to keep him at the Club until 2010, it is now being reported that the extension has not gone through - yet.

Speaking to the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Pearce is quoted as saying: "I'm keen to re-sign and show my commitment to the club, as well as them showing their commitment to me. We've kept most of the team, the nucleus, especially the team that did well towards the end of last season. Sam Vokes has gone and my centre-half partner Josh (Gowling) has gone and we played well together. But hopefully we'll have a good team ..... I'm aiming to have a good pre-season, stay injury free, get in the team for the first game of the season and continue to play well for the rest of the season. Hopefully I will be a key member of the team".
