The loan period for Melligan has ended following an injury JJ picked up in training.

Sean O’Driscoll reports his search for a loan player nearly landed veteran Irish striker David Kelly. However the 36 year old has accepted an offer to play football in Ireland.

James Hayter is likely to miss the Oldham trip with a hip injury.

Second half substitute Amos Foyewa scored a superb goal in the 2-1 reverse at Luton, triallists Michael Price (60 minutes) and Danny Thomas (90 minutes) both played.

The sad news is broken that Steve Fletcher is to miss the rest of season through injury following a second operation to repair damage to his knee, which has restricted him to just 3 appearances this season (scoring one against Worksop in the FA Cup).

Richard Hughes is quoted on teletext that the squad is very relieved having gained a point up at Boundary Park yesterday. Richard is also confident that the sending off he received last week in the QPR game can be quashed, otherwise he misses the trip to Brentford on February 9th.
