AFC Bournemouth played their first pre-season friendly, and beat Hamworthy Engineering 2-0. Jamie Hayter and Gareth O'Connor were the goal scorers.
Warren Feeney has at last agreed a new deal to keep him at Dean Court for at least another year.

The second pre-season friendly took play at Victoria Park, where an estimated crowd of a 1000 witnessed Bournemouth beat non-league neighbours, Bournemouth Poppies 3-1. Despite going a goal down, Bournemouth baounced back with goals through Brian Stock, Saadi, and an own goal. Woolfenden thumped the ball against the upright.
The Carling Cup match against Watford will be £5 for all supporters on August 12th.
