Following intense speculation as to whether Eddie Howe was on his way to Oldham Athletic, he rejected the potential move to the North West. This is the second time Eddie has rejected a move to the North West having rejected a move to Wigan last Summer.

However, now that the rest of the League have been alerted to a potential transfer, rumours abound that our neighbours, Portmsouth, are lining a bid for our highly rated centre-back.

The move would be better for Eddie as it would keep him in the South, and would also bring Eddie and half-brother, Steve Lovell back in to same squad again.
