Ceefax reports that Oldham have backed out of a deal for Eddie Howe, although a fee of £500k had been agreed between the clubs. The Echo reports that there is some difference of opinion as to whether AFCB had agreed the transfer fee. Now that all this is over, it seems from Eddie Howe’s agent, David Fordham that other clubs are expected to show interest, Charlton Athletic are mentioned amongst others.

Portsmouth have dismissed speculation that they are on the verge of signing Eddie Howe.

The Echo gets praise from fans for it’s “let’s keep them up” campaign, and is calling for as many a people as possible to go along to Dean Court for the final games of this season.

Chukki Eribenne scored the only goal in the Reserves’ victory at Wycombe yesterday.

Jermain Defoe is said to be returning to Dean Court this Saturday…..to cheer on the team-shame he can’t be on the pitch!
