Pither - Not Giving Up

Property developer, Alan Pither, is not giving up hope of snatching control of AFC Bournemouth should the current Mostyn-led consortium fail to bring AFC Bournemouth out of administration.

Speaking to the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Pither is quoted as saying: "We're still there and want the club. We want success for the club".

Pither goes on to say about his arrangements with Parkcrest Construction that: "I've had a meeting this morning (yesterday) with Parkcrest reference the land and we're hopeful we'll exchange contracts this week. The South Stand land option is to build a hotel and a stand and give the stand back to the club. We're looking at community-based schemes for the East Stand land, which will probably be more user-friendly than putting houses up".

Joint Administrator, Gerald Krasner is quoted as saying that: "If Mr Mostyn and his gentlemen don't come up with the money, the fall-back option is Mr Pither. But there's no Mr Pither bid that can buy the club at this stage in view of the arrangements made".
