Pither Close to Buying Cherries?

In a report in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, it would appear that Sport-6 could be about to sell AFC Bournemouth to local property developer Alan Pither, who missed out on buying the Club back in the Summer. Any coincidence that Chester City are allegedly up for sale at the moment?

A deal could go through before the end of the week - on the eve of Chester City visiting Dean Court.

The deal to buy AFC Bournemouth involves Alan Pither, who set up Bournemouth Holdings Ltd, together with Melvyn Newman (a Kent based fruit farmer), and Gerald Day (a financial expert).

Talks are set to continue during the coming week, which could see further changes at Dean Court.
