Out of contract Pitman, is close to signing a new deal to keep him at Dean Court for at least the next season.

The Channel Islander is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "We're still sorting out a few minor things but I was reasonably happy with the offer and wouldn't be a million miles away from signing. The season didn't go as well as I would have wanted because we didn't stay up but, personally, I thought I did okay. I scored seven goals in 17 starts, which isn't too bad, and set up a few important goals. I was happy but hopefully there will be more next season. I would like to have been a more regular starter but I've made 100 appearances so can't be too unhappy with that".
