Port Vale Reaction

Now without a win in our 6 matches, AFC Bournemouth have slipped down to 10th in League One, having held a play-off place at the start of the year.

Speaking in the Sunday Papers, Sean O'Driscoll is quoted as saying: "We are disappointed with another display which was nowhere good enough. What we must do now is stick together and show plenty of character". He is also refusing to blame the amount of travelling with 4 long distance (successive) away trips, even though the side is struggling to score goals and to prevent them from going in at the other end.

For Port Vale, their manager, Martin Foyle, was delighted with the victory, which eased fears of being dragged in to the relegation scrap. He is quoted as saying: "We have also seen 100% committment out on the pitch and as long as the players give that they will have my full support. The win will give us a boost and we need to take it on".
