Port Vale Reaction - Cherries

Speaking after the match, Kevin Bond was quoted as saying: "We need to play the game at a higher tempo and it sounds strange but the team we have are ideal away from home. When we play away we can sit back and hit teams on the break and it seems to suit our style of play but when we are home we really struggle with breaking teams down. We had three decent chances during the course of the game and we didn't manage to take any of them and if you want to get something out of the game you have to take your opportunities. I can't take anything away from Port Vale, they will feel they got the win they deserved and I can't really complain about that. We need to believe in ourselves a little bit more, start taking our chances and play at a much higher tempo. We played like that for 20 minutes in the second half but we need to play that sort of way for the full 90 minutes".
