For AFC Bournemouth, Sean O'Driscoll was quoted after the match as saying: "They're a Premiership side and you can see the gulf there is at times, but until they scored I thought we did all right ..... then they got two quick goals and I was disappointed with the result, but we've come through with no injuries".
For Portsmouth, their manager, Alain Perrin was quoted as saying: "It was a good game for us against a good team ..... Bournemouth are well-organised, play at a good tempo and sometimes it was difficult for us to hold them at times. But we haven't got enough players on the bench at the moment. I feel we need two or three more players, in midfield and the forwards".
