Weymouth also created chances, their best coming from the penalty spot, having seen Broadhurst challenge Chukki. But they missed the chance to pull a goal back as Scriven saved the penalty at full stretch.

July 17 Yeovil Town 1-2 AFC Bournemouth Att: 2601
A double strike from Dani Rodrigues against his old Club at Huish Park ensured that Bournemouth won their third pre-season match on the spin against the side who knocked us out of the LDV Trophy last season.

Yeovil struck first blood in this encounter as they struck injury time at the end of the first half. Weatherstone slotted home despite Mossy's best efforts to keep the ball from reaching the back of the net.

Bournemouth did have chances in the opening period, but failed to take them when presented when Wade Elliott was ruled off side mid way through the half.

The second period saw Bournemouth strike back through 2 Rodrigues goals. An effort from Cummings was blocked by the keeper, but Rodrigues was there to poach a goal. His second came as it seemed the game was going to fizzle out to a draw. Their keeper dithered allowing Rodrigues to net his second of the match.
