Preston North End Reaction - Cherries I

Lee Bradbury was a relieved man on Saturday ..... two back from injury, but one now out injured!

Relief that Steven Gregory came through unscathed with his stint on the pitch, having replaced Steven Purches who went off during the first half.

Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Bradders is quoted as saying: "I spoke to him and asked him if he felt he could play 70 minutes and he said he would give it his all. We didn’t really want to risk him because he has had a few problems in his groin area and we didn’t want to turn that into a tear and make it four weeks out".

As for Stephen Purches who was taken off: "He felt his hip. He got a dead leg in the game on Tuesday but he had trained and been fine. He just felt it again in the warm-up. We have had a lot of injury problems and are trying to get to the bottom of them. I think he was just unlucky".
