Professional Pride At Stake

Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Ryan Garry is quoted as saying: "We've got professional pride at stake because I don't want to be in a team that's been relegated twice in two years and no one else in the squad does either. So that's what the focus is for the squad for the drive into the end of the season. It's been an up and down few months. Once we're mathematically safe I'll say we're up, but until then we've got to be as intense as we were against Rochdale on Saturday".

He goes on to say: "Coming from Arsenal, I wouldn't say I was a first-team player there, I was a reserve player but that's not what counts. What counts is playing first-team games and I came here last year and I was in the team, then got injured, and before Christmas this season was also a bit stop-start. So it's just nice to play and I'm enjoying it immensely. I work hard and look to improve myself every day. It might only be by a half of a per cent, but then you'll be a half of a per cent better than you were going into the training session. But I think everyone in this team feels like they've got something to prove, both individually and collectively as a squad".
