With various sources suggesting that the next player to leave Dean Court could be Jamie Hayter, who has been linked with a move to Cardiff City, as they look to replace Robert Earnshaw.

In turn Peter Phillips, speaking to the Bournemouth Evening Echo, is quoted as saying that: "One of the things about Wade and Garreth going is that at least it was sorted out very quickly and that means we've got more time and more options in terms of finding replacements and strengthening the squad for next season. Obviously there will be new players arriving which I think will excite the fans. Sean's got a very good record of finding talented young players".

Sean O'Driscoll is quoted about the departures (on the Clubs Official Web Site): "Both players were out of contract as they were last season and its becoming increasingly difficult to compete financially even in our own division, let alone the Championship. Both boys are ambitious and this gives them a chance to test themselves at a higher level. I think they've been well educated, they possess great attitudes and undoubtedly have great ability so I think they will do very well and we wish them all the best at Burnley next season".

He went on to add: "Replacing players that have performed so well for so long and developed along with the rest of the team will be very difficult. We started the current campaign with a very small squad, but they have been flexible and adaptable and it's that sort of player we need to bring in as we battle with our financial constraints".
