AFC Bournemouth have announced that ex-keeper, Mark Ovendale has passed away at the tender age of 37 after a battle with illness.
Born in Leicester in November 1973, Mark signed for the Cherries from Barry Town for £30,000, making 111 appearances for AFC Bournemouth (89 League, 7 FA Cup, 10 League Cup, 5 in the Mickey Mouse Cup), before moving to Luton Town in a move worth £425,000.
More recently Mark was goal keeping coach at Newport County.
