Rix, Safety & Other Things!

The Club have confirmed that Ben Rix has signed on loan until the end of the current season. Rix made his debut for the Cherries at the beginning of February in the 1-0 defeat against Swansea City. He has so far made 7 appearances.

Scunthorpe United's manager, Brian Laws, believes that the Cherries will stay in League One for next season. He is quoted in the Scunthorpe Telegraph as saying: "I stated before the game that Bournemouth were a very good side and that they do like to play football. I'm sure they have enough about them to stay up. They got two goals and when you do that away from home then I think you expect to maybe get more than one point. They have players who are very comfortable on the ball and it's a very attractive style, but they overplay sometimes and don't hurt you enough. And credit to our lads, we knuckled down and were very forceful in the last 30 minutes".

It's a funny old game, as one person said many years ago. No more so than at Bescot where Steve Claridge could make his third appearance against AFC Bournemouth for his third League One club of the season!

First he played against us for Gillingham in August, then moved to Bradford City. Although he didn't play in the first match against us, he did just recently. The transfer deadline in March took him to Walsall. Where next?
