With the growing number of people committing themselves to AFC Bournemouth in recent weeks, then the news that the Cherries Youth Coach, Joe Roach turning down a move to Southampton is a further boost.

Roach is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "I went to an interview some weeks ago with Rupert Lowe and Huw, but I looked at what's happened here. The potential is there to see and the programme we've set up is only two years into the process, as I would see it. I'm excited by the fact that I see the opportunities for players to be given a chance here and I think there is unfinished business. Over the last couple of weeks I have weighed it up and decided I want to stay. I am the head of youth and have the chance to put my own structures into place, the Centre of Excellence is flourishing and I don't want to leave when the job is only half done".
