Rochdale Reaction - Dale

Speaking on their Clubs Official Web Site, the Rochdale manager, Keith Hill, is quoted as saying: "On behalf of myself, the coaching staff and the players I want to apologise to our supporters for that type of display. I understand the concerns of the supporters and there is so much that I could say but can't say and don't want to say because I am still manager of Rochdale Football Club. I manage these players on a daily basis and certain things and words have to be kept withing the changing room walls. The way that I feel has to be kept in house but that performance was unacceptable and negative slight on me as a person, on David Flitcroft as a person and everything that we have been trying to achieve for this club and it's supporters. I won't accept and I have used the phrase before that that, potentially, could be a sackable performance. I would understand the Chairman's right to make that decision off the back of that performance, from 1 to 11 and myself and Dave. I do not know whether the players and myself have got the answer. This is a massive part of my learning curve and I will learn from it and I will have a future in football whether it is at Rochdale or not. There shouldn't be any knee jerk reaction to this but I am concerned about the next 5 games, really concerned and I don't know which way we are going to turn. I have been in changing rooms for Rochdale and we have been through a similar sort of situation where we have been in good positions in the league and let it slide away".
