Paul Trollope was quoted after the match as saying: "
That's the third cup competition in a row that we've gone out of in the first round now. They've served us well over the last few years, but it's not happened for us this season. It's frustrating because I thought we were well in control of the game for the majority of the first half, they started brightly, but once we started passing the ball around we produced some good football. When Byron was sent off we went 4-3-2 and tried to stay positive and bold, but in the end it didn't transpire for us. We put Ben Hunt on late on and went three up front, but in the end a disappointing goal from a set-piece cost us".
