It has been confirmed that defender Ryan Garry has signed a new 6-month extension to his current contract to keep him Dean Court.
Speaking earlier, manager Kevin Bond is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "We've got an agreement in place with Ryan and it's just a matter of getting him to come down to put pen to paper. We've agreed something along the same lines as last season and he's comfortable with that and so are we. We are looking forward to seeing him have a sustained injury-free period. Ryan's injuries have set him back from playing at a good level and that's really been his only problem. There is no doubt that when he was at Arsenal, they really rated him but he just couldn't keep himself fit and that was the reason they didn't hang in there with him. They've got an abundance of players and it wasn't through any lack of ability. He needs to have an injury-free period and I think that would help him enormously because he could then go on to have a career for himself. We nearly got him going last season. He played the first few games for us and everybody could see what a good player he is. But, unfortunately, he sustained an injury which wasn't related to any of the previous problems he'd had".
