Scunthorpe United Reaction - Cherries

Manager Lee Bradbury was delighted with the 2-0 win, being quoted on the Clubs Official Web Site as saying: "It's nice to get the win and the most pleasing thing for me was the performance. The lads worked hard for each other from front to back and put a really good shift in. When we do that, we earn the right to play. We stretch teams out and we have enough quality to break teams down and we did that against Scunthorpe. Credit to Scunthorpe because they were well organised and hard team to play against. They will be looking to be at least in the top ten come the end of the season. Alan Knill has got them playing some good football, but I felt today that if we could stretch them out, they couldn't handle our pace. There were a lot of nerves and tension around the place and you could all feel that and I felt the players dealt with that well. As I said to the them at half time, don't concede. I wouldn't have minded winning the game 1-0, what was important was that we didn't let them back in it. I was pleased for Scott Malone to get his second in two games, and it was an excellent goal. Wes Thomas didn't have as much of the ball as he has done recently, but at the end he showed what he is capable of. He took all game to wear the centre halves done. I believe in his pace and strength and he believes in it too. He has great finishing ability and he showed that. He was a handful for them all afternoon and when his chance came, he took it superbly".
