Bury manager, Alan Knill, speaking after the match was quoted as saying: "We were delighted to come here and win 2-1. We got the first goal and all of a sudden the pressure was on them. Then we got the second goal and that killed the game off. On the whole we have had good away form and we have always got players that can get goals for us. To win was fantastic but we want to do more. Two wins in this league and all of a sudden you are in the top three and that's the plan. That's what we have set out to do and I am sure the players will give it a good go".
