Sheffield Wednesday Reaction - Cherries I

Manager Eddie Howe was quoted on BBC Radio Solent after the 2-1 success in Sheffield as saying: "It’s a huge positive for us because any away game in the Championship is a massive test. It was another physical challenge today and they put a lot of long balls and set plays into the box. I thought it could be an issue for us, but we defended really well. It was a totally different test to the Reading game. Reading were a team in form, flying high up towards the top of the division and are a very good football side, whereas Sheffield Wednesday are fighting for their lives. But what pleased me was that we dealt with the aerial bombardment. I think there have been big question marks against us and there probably will continue to be because we are a good footballing team. But can we do the things we need to do? We proved that we could last year, but we need to cope with it against the bigger and better teams this year. I thought we did that today".
