Shrewsbury Reaction

A poor back header from Brian Stock, a Neil Young own goal and a poor defensive display cost Bournemouth a place in the Second Round of the LDV Vans Trophy.

Speaking on the Clubs Official Web Site, Sean O'Driscoll is quoted as saying that: "If you give away three silly goals like we gave away it's going to be difficult, no matter who you play. I thought we dominated the first-half but came in 1-0 down and then got caught cold early in the second-half. We had 10 minutes when we were all over the place but we calmed down then and were fine".
Conceeded Own Goal

For Shrewsbury, their manager, and ex Cherry Jimmy Quinn is quoted on the Official Shrews web site as saying: "Bournemouth are a very good side and that showed tonight, but all credit to our lads tonight as we've gone out there and got a good result. I was delighted that the two lads upfront got goals, Luke's got another and Richard's got one in front of the home crowd and you can't ask anymore than that".
