Southend United Reaction - Cherries

Speaking to the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Gowling is quoted as saying: "The manager was disappointed with a couple of us. We had an off day and he wasn't happy. We're up against it anyway so we need everyone together. When a couple of us are not at it, we find it difficult. The first goal was sloppy on my part and I wasn't at it for the first 20 minutes. I was fine after that so I've just got to sort myself out. Travelling on the day is not something I've got used to. It always makes me feel a bit tired but it's something I've got to deal with. It's difficult and we know the situation. We left at 8.45am and I was up at 7.30am. We know the club hasn't got any money so we can't stay overnight which is understandable. We're professional so we've got to make sure we do everything we possibly can to make sure we're right for the game. Their player got across me for the first goal. It was disappointing because I'm better than that. But I've got to hold up my hand for that one".
