Brian Stock was left to comment on the 6th straight away win, our 13th in all competitions this season! Speaking to BBCi, Stock who scored a 25-yard free kick is quoted as saying: "Steve Fletcher was brilliant - he won practically everything against two good centre-backs who are good in the air, and his two goals were well deserved. The manager said he wanted 12 points from our last four games - and if we can get 12, we should be in there .... I felt the keeper gave me a bit of room, and Garreth O'Connor wanted me to touch it to him, but I said 'No, I'm shooting' and luckily it went in".

For Chesterfield, their manager, Roy McFarland is quoted on BBCi as saying: "We created enough chances to have won the game, although I'm pleased with the way the boys played .... Their winning goal was poor from our part, as we were attacking but didn't close the back door and they broke. We had a bit of a bad spell in the second half when they went 2-1 up and we could have easily folded, but we stuck at it and got an equaliser".
