Stadium Deal Not Dead?

After the AFCB Board apparently voted unanimously against the deal and therefore against the idea of a new landlord, the issued a statement on why: "Firstly, the board felt that, taking into consideration all aspects of the offer, it would only produce a marginal economic benefit over the length of the current arrangement. Secondly, at an earlier meeting, a board representative had stressed to Mr Oram the importance of preserving a buy-back clause, which we feel is vital to the club and its supporters. Mr Oram declined our request to mirror the existing buy-back terms. In view of these and other considerations regarding the offer, the decision to decline was unanimous".

As part of the proposed buy back of the ground, Oram was believed to be offering to cap the rent of the ground to £300k pa for 15 years with no buy-back clause.
