Stech To Stay?

With the goal keeping injury crisis showing no sign of easing, emergency loanee, Marek Stech, looks set to make his home debut against Notts County in front of the live TV cameras.

Manager Eddie Howe is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "It’s been very difficult with the situation we’re in. Suddenly, we lose two goalkeepers one after another and then we can only sign one for seven days due to the embargo. It’s such an important position and you really need continuity. West Ham want Marek to have games so they were quite happy to send him to us for seven days. He has been training really well and is getting to know us and getting to know the lads a little bit better. If one of our goalkeepers is fit, we won’t be able to re-sign him so we will have to wait and see how they are in the coming days".

Stech himself, on his unfortunate debut at Christie Park is quoted as saying: "I know it didn’t look good because of the scoreline, but it was a brilliant experience for me to play at Morecambe. I felt confident at the beginning of the game and we started well. My kicking and coming for crosses was fine, it was just the goals. They were all unbelievable and I probably didn’t have a chance with any of them. Hopefully, if I get another chance, we can play better".
