Speaking to the Bournemouth Evening Echo, manager Kevin Bond is quoted as saying: "I've spoken to Steve and he is somebody who, at his best, would certainly improve us. I think he's been treading water for the past year at Aberdeen and I would certainly be interested in giving him the opportunity to get back playing regularly. Unfortunately though, with the embargo in place, we can only re-sign players who are already ours. We're not in a position to formalise any deals for players outside of the football club but I hope that's only a formality and a question of time".
