Here is what the man of the moment had to say when interviewed by BBC Radio Solent: "It was an important point, whether we impress or not, it is something we want to do, but perhaps at this stage it is not the most important thing. To be fair to everyone, we've gone out in front of 28,000, a full house, great atmosphere, a lovely day for football and we've produced a display and a performance and got the point that we deserved on the day. I don't know if there was that many at Reading when we drew 3-3 a few years back but the atmosphere was rocking just as much. There was not as much on it as there was that day. We weren't going to get relegated today and they weren't going to get promoted but the atmosphere and anything rivalled it. It's a fantastic place to play and they must love it every week. We set our stall out and said if we could play the way we know we can play and quieten them down then it will be difficult for them to get the crowd back behind them. We can nullify it for a certain period of time and the way we played did that which was nice".
