Strongest Squad For Years - Howe

With the new season barely 2 weeks away, manager Eddie Howe believes he's assembled one of the strongest squads of players the Cherries have had for a long time, especially with the signing of Rhoys Wiggins.

Howe is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "I’m delighted and I think it’s great news for the club. He was outstanding when he came here on loan, not just last season but the season before as well. It was a long pursuit because we rate him highly so we’re very happy to have brought him to the club permanently. He’s got a really good pedigree. I first watched him playing for Wales under-21s against England and he was excellent. I also watched him many times for Crystal Palace reserves and he always impressed. Hopefully, he will be a really good signing for us. He’s got the right attitude and mentality and he gets on with all the players. He fitted in well when he was here before and I think the lads viewed him as a permanent member of the squad, even though he was on loan".
