Having had chances earlier in the match, debutant loanee Andrew Surman stamped his mark on the game in Milton Keynes with a cheeky chip of their keeper in the final few moments to rescue a point.

Speaking to the Bournemouth Evening Echo, he is quoted as saying: "I think we deserved to win the game overall. We created a lot of chances and it was nice to get on the score sheet. Look at how many shots we had and how many chances we created, especially in the second half. After being two down, it took a lot of character to create that many chances and keep going. Our heads could have dropped but we kept at it and carried on going and I think we got what we deserved".
