Symes Lacking Match Fitness

With Michael Symes returning to first team action against Rochdale, the striker was quoted after the match as saying in the Bournemouth Evening Echo: "I think it was Warren Cummings who hit a diagonal and I peeled off the defender’s shoulder. I brought it down nicely and I just, maybe, rushed the finish a bit with my left foot. Maybe, I should have let it come down and volleyed it back across goal with my right foot. But I think I probably would have done that five or six games in. I panicked a little bit and, unfortunately, it went just over. There were a couple of times where I gave away the ball, which normally I would never do. That is just rustiness and it takes a couple of games to get your awareness on the pitch and stuff like that. The more games I play, the better that will get".
