Take Time Appointing Successor

With Messers Groves and Brooks gone from the managerial hot seat, Miles Addison is urging the Cherries board to take their time before appointing the next manager at Dean Court.

Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Addison is quoted as saying: "I would just urge the board and the directors to take their time with the decision. I don’t think a quick, hasty decision is going to help anyone at the moment. I think this group of players needs someone strong and very aggressive in the way they want to go about their work. I think it needs someone who is going to put down their foot from day one and show the group what they are about".

He was also asked about the experience level of the next manager: "Yes. People on the outside are looking at us as a massive club in League One with regards to the investment. The club is growing and a big club needs an experienced man at the top to lead it. Maybe someone who has been there and done it before would suit the criteria. It definitely needs someone with experience who can have a look at it from top to bottom and knows what needs to be done".
