The End Is In Sight?

With the new season fast approaching, the preferred bidder for AFC Bournemouth has until Friday (it's believed) to forward his purchasers plans to the Football League in time for the Management meeting on July 10th.

Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Mostyn is quoted as saying: "I'd like to think that the offer we have made to the administrator that we're progressing now is as close as we're ever likely to get to a successful conclusion. And the very fact that we're going to be moving forward with our proposals to the Football League - that we hope to have our draft in on Friday of this week - is a clear indication that we are knocking on the door of the Football League with our proposal. Hopefully as a result of that we will, within a very short space of time, get some positive response to the application and indeed if there is any other information we need".

On the way forward, Kranser is quoted as saying: "We believe that Jeff's consortium will be in a position to pass the final first draft of all the paperwork to the Football League before close of business Friday this week. The Football League's next meeting, I'm informed, is on July 10. Before any fans or yourselves get too excited, I think I can safely say that the transfer of the share will not happen on that day. They have to read the papers and in every case I'm aware of there's always one or two questions and clarifications required".
