One facet that escaped most people on Saturday came when James Rowe was brought on for the substituted for Brian Stock in the final few moments of the Bristol City game. He was that he was the youngest debutant to don a Bournemouth shirt since May 1995!! The youngster that day was Steve Strong (remember him?).

The Bournemouth Daily Echo has reported that at 17 years, 157 days James Rowe has made a name for himself by making it in to the first team. Sean O'Driscoll has been impressed "with their attitude, commitment and ability, and I would have had no hesitation in putting either of them on" (Rowe or Coutts).

James is in good company having followed in the footsteps of Carl Fletcher, Neil Moss, Jamie Hayter, Karl Broadhurst, Eddie Howe and Brian Stock through the youth ranks at Dean Court.
