Thomas Settling In Dorset

Striker Wes Thomas is keen to make an impact at Dean Court, having moved south from Crawley Town.

The striker is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying on the move that: "When I spoke to the manager at Crawley, he was talking about me playing regularly and the move appealed because it was closer to my family in London. But things didn’t work out and I wasn’t playing. Ultimately, I had to make a decision as to whether I wanted to sit on the bench there or move elsewhere. I wanted to play so I had to move. Becoming a father has changed things for me. You don’t get as much time to yourself but I love looking after my son. My partner is doing a fantastic job and her parents are helping out a lot. We have found a place so should be moving down at the end of the week. Jeff (Goulding) was one of the first people I spoke to about the club. He told me it was a great club and one I would enjoy playing for. The move was inevitable and it was an easy decision for me. I could either sit on the bench in League Two or play in League One. There wasn’t too much to think about".
