Thomas To Silence Critics

There's not much doubt that in the past few months that Wes Thomas has missed more than his fair share of sitters when it's come to putting the ball in the back of the net. But the 25-year-old has vowed to silence those who have criticised him, being quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "I just needed to compose myself a little bit more, especially with the first one on my right foot. But I think it will eventually turn round and I will start scoring some goals. The most important thing is I am still coming on the pitch and creating chances. Eventually, it is going to change for me. To be honest, I think I should be scoring one in two, at least. It is not something that I don’t think I should be doing anyway. It is just a bit disappointing that I am not doing it at the moment, but I am sure it is going to change. When you go on a run when you haven’t scored, it can start to affect you, but I am looking at the positives. The positives are that I am getting chances. I know I am good enough that I am going to start putting away those chances".
