Three More Potential Signings Opt Not To Come

AFC Bournemouth have missed out on the signatures of three transfer targets in the last 48 hours.

The much vaunted transfer of Stuart Beavon from Weymouth, along with Anton Robinson, also from Weymouth, has finally been blocked by potential new owners Colin Hill and Lee Power at the Wessex Stadium.

Also not coming to Dean Court is Mark Marshall from Swindon Town.

Speaking about all three, manager Eddie Howe is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "I'm disappointed because, for different reasons, I felt Stuart and Anton would have both been good additions to the squad. Stuart is having an excellent season and has scored a lot of goals. He would have suited our style of football and I'm sure would have done very well for us. Anton has an excellent attitude and is an excellent athlete. Again, he would have complemented what we've got here already. We made an enquiry to take Mark on loan and, although everything was agreed between the two clubs, he opted against coming here".
