Torquay Reaction

For AFC Bournemouth, manager Sean O'Driscoll is quoted on the Clubs Official Web Site as saying, about goal keeping hero Gareth Stewart: "Gareth usually plays in the reserves in front of a relatively inexperienced defence and is usually kept very busy. He came in tonight and handled it as well as he could. It's a sign of a good keeper to concentrate whilst having little to do then making the saves when needed. He made the important saves when he was called upon, both from the free kick, then the penalty. It will have done Gareth the world of good to have played tonight and we will have to wrap him in cotton wool from now on with Neil Moss injured".

For Torquay United, their manager Leroy Rosenior is quoted as saying after the defeat: "I'm pleased with the lads as they've worked very hard. We don't seem to do very well at penalties, but I was looking for a performance, and I'm pleased with what they've given me tonight. I can't be too disappointed as we defended properly, and in the first half we created the better chances".
