Tranmere Rovers Reaction

Manager Sean O'Driscoll was pleased with the result, if not the overall performance: "It was always going to be a difficult game and I am delighted with the outcome. We had the smallest side we have fielded all season but the players were extremely brave. Everybody played their part. Before the game I would definitely have settled for a clean sheet. Tranmere are on a good run and you can see why. I thought we might sneak it the longer the game went but we could not quite create the one chance we needed".

Tranmere boss, Brian Little, was also pleased, being quoted on BBCi as saying: "I can't be disappointed with the overall performance, as we created five or six chances and our keeper hasn't had to make a save. I would like more points, but if we carry on like that, we will win more games than we will lose. On their day, Bournemouth can win games comfortably, but they haven't had a chance, and that is pleasing for us".
