Speaking to the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Peter Phillips is quoted as saying: "I have heard from Steve Lansdown again and spoken to James's agent, but there is no change on our original position. If you wanted my prediction, it would be that James will still be a Bournemouth player on Wednesday. I suppose there is enough time for that to change, but it is getting pretty tight now and if anybody came in for him, it doesn't really give us a chance to get a replacement in. That means we would be less likely to do the deal".
